Thomas C. Whelan, President
President
Thomas Whelan has been with Bath Savings Trust Company since September 2005,
after over a decade of management in the bank’s retail division. A member of Bath Savings Institution’s senior management team, Tom was
instrumental to the superior growth of the bank’s branch offices. As the Vice President of Branch Administration, he led the retail branches in
delivering the style of banking that sets us apart.
A graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Tom is also a graduate of the New England School of Banking at Williams College and an honors graduate from the nationally renowned Canon Financial Institute. With an unwavering commitment to customer service, Tom provides his clients with informed and personal investment management.
In his role at Bath Savings Trust Company Tom continues his strong commitment to personal service. Tom says, “I am struck by the quality of the staff at BSTC and the manner in which everyone works together to deliver the best possible service to our clients. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has the client at the forefront of their minds every day.”
George E. Messinger, Senior Vice President

Ged Messinger joined Bath Savings Trust Company in 2003,
after serving as a Vice President and Trust Officer at Key’s PrivateBank. Over the years, his strong background in financial services has been built
through experience as well as education.
A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, Ged served in the Air Force as an officer both in times of conflict and peace. His strength of character and integrity now extend to his daily communications with clients and with other colleagues in the community.
Having earned a law degree from Suffolk University and an advanced law degree in Taxation from Boston University, Ged has provided personal financial services to clients for over 30 years. During that time, Ged has also taught numerous courses on estate planning and customer service.
Having spent the majority of his professional career working directly in the field of trusts and investments, Ged has developed an expertise in assisting clients with their financial and estate planning needs. “As a part of Bath Savings Trust Company, I enjoy the opportunities I have to continue to provide exceptional financial services to our clients,” he says.
Catherine L. Robidoux, Vice President

Catherine Robidoux came to Bath Savings Trust Company with more
than 15 years of trust and investment management experience. Her expertise in financial services and estate planning at Androscoggin Bank, Bank of
America and Independence Trust Company has given her a strong background that benefits her clients at Bath Savings Trust Company.
A native of Bath, Catherine is a graduate of the New England School of Banking at Williams College and the National Institute of Paralegal Studies in New York. In 2011 she will earn her degree from the Graduate Trust Program. She is also a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.
At Bath Savings Trust Company she continues her strong commitment to personal service. She says “There is nothing we like better than sitting down with a client and getting to know them and their goals, then developing a plan that’s sound, imaginative, and designed for the long term. Eveline M. Wing, Vice President

Eve Wing brings 30 years of banking experience to Bath Savings Trust Company.
During the past decade she has focused her attention on trust and investment services. In addition to managing trust and investment relationships, she has
assisted in financial reporting, accounting and other banking functions.
Eve has completed the CFP Professional Educational Program, graduated from the New England School of Banking Trust Program at Williams College and earned her designation as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA).
As a working mother, Eve not only worked full time as a management team leader in a bank accounting position and as a member of its Asset/Liability Management Team, but she was also responsible for analyzing budgets and quarterly earnings. During this time, her evenings were spent completing a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, which she earned in 1990 from the University of Maine.
When asked about her role at Bath Savings Trust Company, Eve answers, “My hope is to develop trusting and long lasting client relationships with a focus on quality products and services, open and honest communication, and a genuine desire to serve in the client’s best interest.”
Sean W. Martin, Vice President
Vice President
Sean Martin has worked directly with individual clients at Bath Savings
Trust Company since 2001. Sean graduated with honors from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
A strong financial strategist, Sean plays a key role as lead liaison between the Trust Company and its investment advisory firm, David Wendell Associates. He manages important aspects of our investment process including both equities and fixed income vehicles. He is responsible for placing all trades for the Trust Company, ensuring that they are executed in an accurate, timely, and cost effective manner.
“We understand the value of sound advice, strong performance and informed decision making that reflects our clients’ values,” Sean says. “It’s the very basis of trust — and the foundation of a rewarding relationship.”
Cheryl A. Verrill, Senior Vice President Operations
Senior Vice President
Cheryl A. Verrill brings over 30 years of banking
experience to Bath Savings Trust Company. During the past decade she has focused her attention on management of trust operations. With her extensive
experience in delivering strategic technology solutions, beginning with Casco Northern Bank, Bank of Boston and Gorham Savings Bank, she ensures
the delivery of accurate and timely information to all of our trust clients.
Cheryl supervises a staff of four and is responsible for managing our operations and Trust Accounting System. A Maine native, she attended Husson College and served as a United Way Loaned Executive. On two separate occasions she was selected to receive the YMCA Women in Business Award.
When asked about her role at Bath Savings Trust Company, Cheryl says, “Informed decision making is key to the success of financial management and trust services. It’s our priority to give our clients the high value information they need.”
